US Keyboards
In the computer rooms, you will find keyboards with a Swiss-German layout (CHD). Although you will be taking the test using this type of keyboard, the text will appear on the screen according to US keyboard layout.
Examples:
- When you press the "z" key, the letter "y" appears on the screen.
- Although the Swiss-German keyboard has the "!" character in the upper right, on the US keyboard you need to use "shift+1".
Earplugs
According to the official regulations, the test takers are placed side by side at the computers. This can lead to noise in the test room, especially during the speaking section. We therefore recommend that you bring along your own earplugs or ear protection.
